Although this journal isn't my first journal here at LJ, my default usericon has already stayed the same: Weasley has always been my king. When I first started on LJ, my sister asked her friend Brandi to make me two Harry Potter icons. The first has a picture of Ron Weasley, stating "Weasley is my King," a reference to the fifth Harry Potter book. She also made me one with a picture of Hermione, and it said "filthy little mudblood" on it. I'm a very big Harry Potter fan.

I used to have a paid account so I still have twenty usericons uploaded, but only six usable ones. Now I really, really want another paid account. =[

Thanksgiving went pretty well, for the most part. My sister came home, which is exciting in itself. My Uncle Jim came, along with his son, Bryan, and Bryan's wife, Cristina, and her mother, Louisa. Chris was supposed to come over after but everyone took too long to leave so it was made impossible.

And then I got sick. I had the flu and ended up, well, putting it politely, getting sick over TEN times between eleven pm on Saturday and five am on Sunday. I also ended up not doing my Mission things for the days that I was sick, but I don't think it counts since I was puking up my guts.

Oh! And we bought a new car! Now we have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. We had to leave the PT Cruiser with Thurston though. Even though I never liked the car, it was pretty sad leaving it there, a little fruit loop in a land of scary Hondas who probably thought they were better than it. Poor Cruiser. :(

I wonder how much school work I'm going to have to make up now that I've missed all my classes on November ninth and twenty-sixth (today), some classes on November fifteenth and sixteenth?

I'm finding Mission 101 to be harder than I thought. It's so easy to forget things. I'm not supposed to make any LJ posts without including a picture but my last post had nothing. It's not like I opted against it; I didn't even remember I needed something. So I've decided I'll edit that particular goal and add "or a quote" to make it easier. I hope that isn't against the rules.

I should not complain about my grades. I really shouldn't. But I'm going to anyway. =]

I got an A+ on my history final, which was an essay about a speech that Martin Luther King, Jr. gave a year before he was assassinated. It seriously was not that good. Yes, I'm thankful, but I just don't understand.

I also don't understand how I have a 101% in math. I got a B+ on my math final. Now, that HAD to have been heavily curved or something because I know if it hadn't been, I would have had to fail. I didn't even have time to finish so I didn't do about half the problems. That means that my class had to have done really badly too, then.

WE GOT A WII!!

The theme for prom last year was "Red Carpet." This year, according to Ms. Ward, it's "The Great Gatsby." Now, I haven't read that book yet, but how exactly does it relate to prom?
